Mohammad Harris bin Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim was appointed as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on 1st July 2026.

In 2002, with a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Curtin University, Australia, Mohammad Harris embarked on a career which has also seen him hold various positions within the Brunei Investment Agency (BIA) and continue to serve on a number of Boards of Government Linked Companies (GLC) within the Banking, Food, Hospitality and Telecommunications sectors.
